Larrie Carl Anderson Obituary (1934 - 2012)

Larrie Carl Anderson 1934-2012 Larrie Carl Anderson passed away at the age of 78, Tuesday, February 28, 2012, in the home of family members in Tehachapi, CA. He was born on February 18, 1934 in Brigham City, UT, to Oscar Carl and Ada Ruth Petersen Anderson. Larrie was the youngest of five children, all of whom were raised in Brigham City. During his senior year at Box Elder High School, Larrie married Kay Chamberlain of Honeyville, UT. Upon graduation he worked as a civilian at Hill Air Force Base and later enlisted in the United States Air Force. As husband and father of two sons, Larrie was transferred to Biloxi, MS, then to Chennault, IL and subsequently to Oxnard, CA. During Larrie's early years in California he became the father of four more children for a total of three sons and three daughters. During the summer of 1962 Larrie moved his family to Logan, UT and obtained a Bachelors degree from Utah State University. After his graduation in 1965 he settled in the Northridge, CA area and eventually started a 25 year career in accounting as a Manager of the Cost Accounting Department and as the Production Accountant with Walt Disney Studios. Throughout the 1980s he was assigned as a Location Auditor for Disney's movie productions; he travelled to many parts of the world while the studios filmed movies like: "Night Crossing" in Germany, "Never Cry Wolf" in Alaska, "Trench Coat" in Malta, "Splash" in New York, "One Magic Christmas" in Canada, "Good Morning Vietnam" in Thailand, and "Shipwrecked" in Norway, Fiji, and Spain. Upon Larrie's retirement he enjoyed landscaping his home in Bear Valley Springs - Tehachapi, CA. Larrie is survived by his sister La Vern Kupfer, Bountiful, UT; wife Kay, six children: Gregory, Carson City, NV; Larrie, Vernal UT; Denise, Melbourne, FL; Barbara, Sparks, NV; Robert, Tehachapi, CA; Cheryl, Bakersfield, CA; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
