Larry M. Wardley Click here to listen to Funeral Recording Our loving husband, father, brother and friend, Larry M. Wardley, passed away on July 1, 2014 in Las Vegas, NV. He was born on July 5, 1937 in Ogden, Utah to Lewis and Gertrude Morrison Wardley. He married his sweetheart, Beverly Childs on July 5, 1981 in Ogden, Utah and gained 6 step-children. Larry proudly served in the U.S. Army and was wounded in action. He was a lifelong resident of Ogden. Larry was a graduate of Ogden High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Larry was a member and served on the Board of Director's for Alcoholics Anonymous and was proud of his 38 years of sobriety. He was the proprietor of the Vacuum Exchange in Ogden, Utah for many years. He took the business over from his mother and worked tirelessly to build and maintain his business relationships to those that called on him for service. Larry enjoyed fishing and going to Las Vegas and Wendover. His passion was Vacuum Exchange and his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; step-children, Sherry Smith, Debbie (David) Allred, Kathy (Dennis) Hatch, Danny Mower and Kimberly Penman; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sandra (Lewis) Anderson, Lynn (Cookie) Wardley and Melanie (Chuck) Barber. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-daughter, Lisa Walker, upon her death he cared for her two children, Dustin and David Walker and raised them as if they were his own children. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Shon Warren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. and prior to services on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
