LaRue Estella Ary (Stock), age 90, of Layton, Utah, passed away Tuesday January 2, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loved ones. LaRue was born January 25, 1933 in Afton, Wyoming. LaRue was a special kind of woman. She was loving, caring, and always had an open door. She loved entertaining, she loved people and befriended everyone she met.
LaRue married the love of her life, her soul mate- Robert Eugene Ary (Bob) on March 28th, 1966 in Pocatello, Idaho; together with six kids. They were stationed in Florida, Utah, California, Australia and North Dakota until 1983, when they both retired and moved home to Utah to be close to family.
She was an avid animal lover, she not only raised many dogs but cats, birds, rabbits and chinchillas to name a few. LaRue was a brilliant artist, a trait she learned from her mother. LaRue collected porcelain dolls and bears of all sizes. LaRue had a heart of gold and lived for her family. She loved to host holiday gatherings in her home, summertime Barbeques, she loved to cook. She was the kind of woman who would not be caught without her pearls and lipstick, but if you did catch her without them on- her beauty still shined through.
LaRue is survived by her loving husband, Bob Ary; children, Judy Gentry, Beverly Woods (Long), Scott Smith, Teri Browning (Smith) and Marc Ary; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and sisters, Sharen (Michael) Peterson and Maxine (Bill) Jackson.
