Larry Francis Schleininger Obituary (1946 - 2010)

Larry F. Schleininger SUNSET - Larry F. Schleininger, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010, peacefully at his home. He was born June 24, 1946, in Richmond, California, a son of Leon E. and Florence Brecht Schleininger. He was raised in Minnesota. He faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy. He graduated from college with a B.A. in History at California State University, Hayward. He married his loving companion, Donna Ree Schultz on August 30, 1974 in Reno, Nevada. Together they spent thirty-six joy filled years. Larry enjoyed reading books, listening to records, especially jazz. He also enjoyed traveling, swimming, going for walks, watching movie classics, and loved spending time with his family. Larry is survived by his wife, Donna; six children, Lisa (Christopher) Davis, Richard, Jennifer, Jacob, Matthew, and Josh (Amanda) Schleininger; four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Michael, Tate, and Annie. He is also survived by his brothers, Leon and Steven, and sister, Joyce. He was preceded in death by his son, David, and his parents. In honor of Larry's request private services will be held.
