LaVon Claire Gilbert

OGDEN - LaVon Claire Gilbert, 65, loving wife and mother, joined Heavenly Father on May 8, 2004, after fighting a courageous battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

She was born June 11, 1938 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Loren F. and Daisy Adelle Simmons. She married Clarence P. Bonnett, they were later divorced. She married Lynn G. Gilbert on Dec 2, 1960 in Elko, NV.

LaVon was an active member of the Women's Aux of F.O.E. 2472. She loved playing bingo, family outings, crocheting, doing her crafts, but most of all she loved the canyon and just spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of Ogden; three daughters and two sons: Kris (Craig) Burlison of Roy, UT; Jodene Bonnett of Ogden, UT; Brad of Ogden, UT; Steve (Robin) Gilbert of Ogden, UT; Lynnett (Bob) Barnum of Fort Bridger, WY; four sisters, two brothers, and one half brother; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren with one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; and three sisters.
