Duncan of Ogden, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday morning, April 9th, surrounded by family. Leah was born December 28, 1926, Ogden, Utah, to Gilbert and Bernice Stuart. She graduated from Ogden High in 1945. Leah married David L. Duncan, from Miami, Florida, an airman assigned to Hill Air Force Base on June 8, 1956. They would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this June. They had three children. When Leah was 29 she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior, and her life revolved around her faith, family and friends. She lovingly served the Lord with her husband as pastor and as his faithful sidekick in the ministry at Valley View Baptist Church for over 30 years. Her greatest joy was teaching children about Jesus. As a Sunday School teacher, the youngsters all affectionately knew her as Ms. Leah. She was an outstanding witness for Jesus and shared her love with everyone she came in contact with. She was the most positive, loving, caring person you would ever want to meet, and her sweet spirit was very contagious. She is survived by her husband, Dave; son, Charles (Vickie) Duncan of South Ogden; daughter, Ruth (Dan) Johnson of Firth, ID and daughter-in-law, Deana Duncan; 17 grandchildren and 24 A 1/2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings and son, David B. Duncan. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13, 2015 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. at 11 a.m. Viewings will be held Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Monday, prior to the service from 10 to 10:45 at Myers. Interment at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, South Ogden, Utah.
