Leah Stephens Zweifel click here to listen to Funeral Recording Ogden -Leah Stephens Zweifel, our dear, sweet Mother and Grandmother, departed this earthly existence on November 9, 2012. She was born October 22, 1921 in Ogden, Utah daughter of A. Nephi and Sarah Morley Stephens. Leah married Donald J. Zweifel September 8, 1941. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving faithfully in several callings including Relief Society President for 5 years. Leah and her husband served as temple workers in the Ogden LDS Temple for 8 years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing the piano, and loved to play a mean game of Scrabble. Her greatest love was being with her family; especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful example of unconditional love. She is survived by her children, Dale (Elsa) Zweifel, Vicki (Steve) Tippets and Lynette (Lee) Clark; 13 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Friends may call prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Legacy Hospice for all their care; and everyone who loving cared for Leah in her time of need.
