Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Leamaree McNeely, passed away on September 6, 2026. She was born September 8, 1940, to Emily Elizabeth Wood and Ralph Tovey Ashby in Fielding, Utah. She was the fifth of six children. She grew up on the family farm working in the fields, milking cows, hauling beets to the UI Sugar Factory. Her mother taught her to sew and make bake goods.

After graduating from Bear River High School, she moved to Salt Lake City and went to the LDS Business College. She met her husband Dennis Vern McNeely through a mutual friend. They were married on December 20, 1963, in the Logan Temple. They were married for 57 years when Dennis passed away.

They were active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings in Primary, Sunday School, Young Women’s, Relief Society and Cub Scouts. She made many pies, cinnamon rolls and cakes for the holidays and family gatherings. She enjoyed camping, horse riding, and sewing. She went to many rodeos, horse shows, county fairs, and watched her kids and grandkids games.

Leamaree is now reunited with her husband, parents, and three brothers.

She is survived by her children, Melanie (Curtis) Crouch, Troy (Janna) McNeely, Christy McNeely and Shawn (Tamm) McNeely. Her older sister Errladeon Ashby and one younger brother Coy Ashby; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
