Leda Barney Jones Obituary (1921 - 2009)

Leda Barney Jones BRIGHAM CITY- Leda Barney Jones passed away on Nov 26, 2009 at Pioneer Nursing and Rehabilitation. Leda was born December 26, 1921 in Circleville, UT; a daughter of Henrietta Lewis and Joseph Franklin Barney. She married Darwin Jones in 1948 and they were later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple in 1949. Darwin passed away in 1985. Leda loved painting ceramics. She was always sweet, kind and loving to all she knew. Surviving are her brother, Joe Wayne Barney, and sister-in-law June Barney, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. The family would like to thank Leda's friend Marcella for her loyal and faithful friendship through the years. Also a special thanks to Hearts for Hospice and Pioneer Nursing and Rehabilitation for their loving care. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the St. George City Cemetery, 700 E. Tabernacle Street, St. George, UT A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 3, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City UT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Myers Mortuary to help with funeral expenses.
