Leonard Child

Leonard Ray Child, born April 15, 1947, to Eloise and Howard R. Child passed away unexpectedly November 22, 2023.
Leonard is survived by his wife Vera, son Gary Child, daughters Barbara Ross, Katrina Daley, Desiree Stam, Jennifer Anderson, brothers Ronald Child, Charlie Child, and Howard Child. Also surviving him are 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Sueann Nielson.
After graduating from Clearfield High School, Leonard joined the U.S. Navy proudly serving his country. He married Vera Elaine Larson on April 26, 1980.
He worked and retired from Hill Air Force Base after 35 years. He liked spending time with family and riding his motorcycle and snowmobile. He loved going 4- wheeling with his kids and loved trap shooting with his daughter Jennifer. Leonard liked to be outside doing his yard work and loved watching his old shows.
He is riding his bike, with the wind in his hair, in heaven smiling down on his loved ones and he will be forever missed and loved. He was a very kind and gentle man. He was very thoughtful of all the people he shared his life with.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 6-8pm and on Thursday, from 11:40am-12:40pm at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Ogden followed by the Funeral Service at 1pm. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd.
