Leone Nelson Fonnesbeck Nielson

Leone Nelson Fonnesbeck Nielson, passed away in Phoenix, AZ on September 24, 2009. She was born in Brigham City, Utah on February 27, 1922 to Arnold and Minerva Nelson. She moved to Phoenix, AZ in 2001 where she resided with her daughter Kristi. She was preceded in death by her second husband Ferris M. Nielson who passed away in 2000. She was married to Verdun F. Fonnesbeck in l941. They divorced in 1993.

Leone was a very active, bubbly, fun, friendly woman who had the "Best Sense of Humor". She loved to travel, write letters to her friends and family, and attend the Paradise Valley Senior Center. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many positions in the Howell and Brigham City 11th ward.

She is survived by four children, Arnold Bruce Fonnesbeck (Dixie) Meridan, ID, Vicki Lauritzen (Ted), Brigham City, UT, Gregory Fonnesbeck, Logan, UT, and Kristi Fonnesbeck, Phoenix, AZ; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Karla who died in 1969 and a grandson Ward Fonnesbeck;

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at 11:00.am. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.
Friends may call Tuesday 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Mortuary.
Interment in the Brigham City Cemetery.
