Leroy Hugh Dowdle Obituary (1927 - 2003)

LEROY H. DOWDLE WILLARDa"LeRoy Hugh Dowdle, 76, beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother and friend passed away, Sunday, September 28, 2003. He was born May 24, 1927 in Orchard, Idaho a son of Frank Miles and Ireta May Daines Dowdle. LeRoy married Francese Leone Hunsaker on February 27, 1955 in Elko, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple. He was a veteran in the U.S. Naval Air Station during WWII. He was an active member of the LDS Church where he served as a High Priest. LeRoy retired from DDO, where he had been a License Examiner. LeRoy loved his cabin, the mountains, fishing, family parties and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and two great-grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Francese, Willard, five children; Kris (Lynn) Zundel, Willard; Nancy (Larry) Whitaker, Brigham City; Liz Warden and Mike Radabaugh, Willard; Linda Andrews, North Ogden; Allen (Shelly) Dowdle, Roy; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 2, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Willard Peak Chapel, 7615 S. 665 W., Willard. Friends may call Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Brigham and Thursday at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Willard Cemetery.
