Lillian Caroline Hill McIntire

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend Lillian Caroline Hill McIntire passed away February 21, 2017.

Lillian was born February 6, 1928 in Leadore, Idaho to William Beckstrom and Dora Caroline Petersen Hill. She attended Rick's College after graduating from Leadore High School. She married Marcus McIntire on July 22, 1948. They raised their family in Corinne, Utah until 1973 when they moved to Brigham City.

Lil's greatest joy and fulfillment in life was her family. Whether preparing large family dinners (including her famously delicious bread rolls), or simply baking cookies or cakes for drop-in visits, Lily lovingly and generously gave her heart to family, friends and strangers alike.

Lily blessed all who knew her with her spiritual gifts of service, giving, faith, and hospitality. With her welcoming heart and smile, she embraced everyone, making each person feel special and unconditionally accepted. Her loving way will live on through everyone whose life she touched.

Surviving are her children: Bill McIntire, Howell, UT; Joy (Brent) Bassett, Wellsville, UT; Dennis (Patty) McIntire, Hot Springs, MT; Alane McIntire, Brigham City, UT; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband Marcus McIntire; her parents; an older brother Sheldon (died in infancy); her sister Dorothy Pope; her brother Don Hill; and a great granddaughter, Brooklyn McIntire.

Her family wishes to send their enduring gratitude to the Encompass Hospice team for their caring service. And a special family thanks to our dear sister Christine for her compassionate heart and help.

We ask friends to contribute to a charity of their choice in lieu of sending flowers.

Services will be Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT.
Viewings will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Mortuary.
Interment will be in the MacRae Cemetery in Leadore, Idaho on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
