Linda Avondet Stoker D'Hulst Obituary (1927 - 2017)

Linda D'Hulst Click here to listen to the funeral recording. Our loving mother returned home to our Heavenly Father on July 5, 2017. She died from natural causes. She was born November 29, 1927, at the family farm in Ogden to Lami and Millie Combe Avondet. She graduated from Weber High School and married Dale Weston Stoker on August 9, 1946. She was converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. Their marriage was later solemnized September 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had 7 children, 4 daughters and 3 sons. Dale died on January 9, 1979. She later married Daniel I. D'Hulst in March 1981. They served an LDS mission to the Arkansas Little Rock Mission. After the death of Dan on November 23, 2003, she served in the family and church history mission. She was faithful all her life in her church callings, even serving as a member of the primary presidency when she was eighty years old. She found much joy in her posterity. Linda and Dale had 41 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by Lynn (Rich) Moore, Sherol (Steven) Jensen, Lyman (Cheryl) Stoker, Gary (Rayann) Stoker, Dale (Tracy) Stoker, Jill (Bill) Okelberry, Kim (Devin -Deceased) Shaum. Linda also had 6 step-children, Dana (Jess) Sharkey, Daniel D'Hulst Jr., Natalie (Lynn) Deradon, Madeliene D'Hulst (deceased), Charles (Laura) D'Hulst, Todd (deceased) D'Hulst. 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Quail Meadow and Comfort Works Hospice for their loving care to our Mother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 10, 2017, at the North Ogden East Stake Center, 900 E. 2850 N. North Ogden. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 pm and from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment, Roy City Cemetery 5200 S. 2300 W.
