Linda "B1" M Martinez Obituary (1951 - 2013)

Linda M. Martinez "B1" Ogden - Linda M. Martinez passed away peacefully on February 4, 2013. She was born November 7, 1951 in Price, Utah to Manuelita Martinez and Melquades Marquez. She married Manuel B. Martinez on May 11, 1968 in Ogden, Utah. Linda was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. My wife loved to play bingo, go to Wendover, play Nintendo, do puzzles and enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports and taking care of her great-grandson. Being with her family was her greatest joy. Linda is survived by her husband of 45 years, Manuel; children, Bill (Stephanie) Martinez, Patricia (Raul) Martinez-Altamirano, Juno (Opal) Martinez and Melanie (Julio) Marquez; 14 grandchildren and 1 great- grandson. She is also survived by three brothers, Robert, Orlando, Pressy and two sisters, Esther and Bertha. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. 514 24th St. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Family and friends may gather on February 7th from 6 to 7 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A Vigil with Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. followed by a service at 7:30 p.m. Interment will follow the Funeral Mass at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. The family would like to thank Dr. Gregoire, Dr. Grey, Dr. Abel, Dr. Anderson, the ICU Staff and also the 3rd and 5th floor at McKay Dee Hospital for their care. She was a survivor of small cell lung cancer.
