Linda Taylor

With sadness, we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and auntie; Linda Gail (Albright) Taylor, (November 6, 1947–October 7, 2026). Mom passed peacefully in her sleep in Ogden at her home of natural causes.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorthy Madeline (Knight) Albright (1906–1997) of Anna, Illinois; her father, Marvin Edward Albright (1907–1956) of Alexander County, Illinois; four brothers, Ronald, Bill, Duane, and Jack; and three sisters, Jean, Joyce, and Jan. Linda is survived by her brother, Lyle; her sister, Shirley; her daughter Nicole Marie Chadwick, husband Junior, of Ogden, Utah, and Nicole’s three children, Ashley and husband Itai, Craig, and Kasey and wife Debra; her two step children, Carson and Heather Chadwick; her daughter Lisa Ann Taylor, of Grantville, Georgia; and her two children, Jeff and Natasha; and her son John Lawrence Taylor, wife Joanna, of Centennial, Colorado; and son Alec and wife Bailey. Linda also leaves six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren with another due in March, and two step-great grandchildren.

Linda was born in Evanston, Wyoming. She was the ninth of ten children. The family eventually settled in Ogden, Utah where Grandma Dorthy had had enough of following Union Pacific Railroad across the country for Grandpa Marvin’s job. Linda was raised in Ogden, Utah, where she attended Ogden High school. Later, Linda was married for nine years and lived in Columbus, Ohio for a period of time. When mom got divorced, she came home to Ogden.

She was hired in late 1974 by the Internal Revenue Service. In 2005 she retired after 31 years. She has had some wonderful friends and loving family members across the country along her journey, and we thank you. She raised her 3 children as a single parent, and we are proud of her for her commitment to us.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to your local dementia charities organization. The family has planned no public services.
