Linelle Burge

–

Clearfield, Utah

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linelle 'Tootie' Burge, who departed on January 16, 2025. Born in Nevada, on September 12, 1938, Linelle lived a life marked by compassion, love, empathy, and thoughtful kindness. She had a zest for life and a love for the beautiful things that she nurtured in her garden. She was a loving soul who cared deeply for her family, friends, and everyone she met.

Linelle was a woman of many talents and passions. She was a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse and caregiver, a profession that allowed her to channel her innate kindness and empathy. She loved the mellifluous sounds of Christian music and would often play the trumpet, an instrument she mastered with grace. Linelle's love for gardening was palpable, as she filled her home with the vibrant colors and fragrances of the flowers she tenderly nurtured. The places she lived in the past, including Foys Lake Montana, Paradise and Oroville in California, Crescent City in California, and Ogden/Roy in Utah, were all enriched by her presence and her loving spirit.

Linelle's faith played a significant role in her life. As a devoted member of the Pentecostal Church, she found strength and solace in God's word. As it is written in Psalm 73:26, "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." This verse encapsulated Linelle's unwavering faith and trust in God.

Linelle's beautiful legacy continues to live on through her son, Chris (Sheila) Summers, her brothers, Bill (Lori) Liberty, Lee Odom, and Scott Cranston. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Burge, her father, Joseph Odom, her mother, Alice Cranston, her brothers, Joe Odom and Paul Cranston, and her step-father, Francis Cranston. Linelle's life was a testament to her loving nature and the power of faith. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

We invite you to celebrate Linelle's life by sharing your memories, stories, and photos on her memorial page. Your contributions will serve as a tribute to the extraordinary woman that was Linelle Burge, keeping her spirit alive in our hearts.
