Lirio Jose Fernandez Obituary (1966 - 2010)

Lirio Fernandez Ogden - Lirio Fernandez, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010. Lirio was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela on February 25, 1966 to Maria Trinidad Marquez. He joined the LDS church as age 16. After serving a mission in Venezuela, he immigrated to the United States and eventually obtained his US citizenship. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria of Venezuela. He is survived by his wife, Christina Fernandez and his children, Trinity, Lucas and Raul Fernandez, Gabriel Ventura, Allison (John) Thurman, and Richard Summers, and granddaughter, Nynavae Thurman. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Fernando, Segundo, Luis, Nieves, Alba, Beatrice, Maria and Lilianna, all still living in Venezuela. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday April 10th at the Lorin Farr First Ward, 7th Street and Adams Ave, Ogden, Utah. Friends may call on Friday April 9th at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. Ogden Utah from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and at the church from 10:00 to 10:30 am on Saturday the 10th. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Lirio Fernandez Memorial account at America First Credit Union. Donations can be made at any branch.
