Lois Jones
OGDEN - Our loving mother and grandmother, Lois Knight Jones, passed peacefully from this life on January 25, 2006 and was reunited with her husband and daughter.
She was born April 7, 1931 to Enos W and Esther Andersen Knight. She married Donald Otto Jones on January 1, 1950 and together they welcomed three children, Susan, Jeffery and Cristine into their home.
Her life long dream came true when their marriage was sealed on October 26, 2005.
She attended Ogden City Schools, graduating from Ogden High and worked at McKay-Dee Hospital following her chosen career as a homemaker.
As dads constant companion, she never missed an opportunity to accompany him hunting, fishing, bowling or visiting family and friends, always dragging us with them. She unselfishly sacrificed to serve and support the special needs and challenges of her daughter Cristine. Mom was always putting the needs of her family ahead of her own without complaint.
She had a special talent for needlepoint and left us thousands of stitches to remind us of her love.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and recently enjoyed the blessings of attending the temple.
We wish to thank all those who showed kindness and support to our mother through her many trials and afflictions. She truly exemplified our Savior's love by enduring to the end.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Craig) Brenchley, Jeffery K. Jones; her daughter-in-law of 25 years Dana Jones; seven grandchildren, Tyson, Tylor, Brandon, Sean, Jayson, Heather and Tiffany; six great-grandchildren; and her brother Clarence (Norma) Knight.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Cristine Annette Jones, and brother Richard Knight.
We invite you to join us as we celebrate our mothers life at a funeral service to be held on Monday, January 30, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. We will greet friends and family Sunday, January 29th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
Mom, you continue to inspire us in death as you did in life. We love and miss you. Your family.
