Lorainne Carter Taylor Obituary (1924 - 2017)

Lorainne Carter Taylor BRIGHAM CITY - Lorainne Carter Taylor, 93 passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2017 with her family at her side. Lorainne was born on September 15, 1924 in Brigham City, Utah a daughter of Simeon Wilmer Carter and Vera Alice Petersen. She married her sweetheart Thomas James Taylor on November 18, 1950 in Rigby, Idaho they were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple on August 26, 1961. Lorainne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She never retired from her full-time position of loving wife, devoted mother and friend to her extended family. Lorainne enjoyed activities with her family. She especially loved to spend time at the family cabin in Summit County. She enjoyed reading books of all kinds. Surviving are her children: Kaye (Noel) Cherrington, Garland, UT; Robert (Tami) Taylor, Salt Lake City, UT; Sana (Robert) Johnson, Salt Lake City, UT; Sheryl (CJ) Nix, Mountain Green, UT; Von Taylor, Draper, UT; daughters-in-law: Elizabeth Taylor, Springville, UT; Debbie Taylor, Coos Bay, OR; 39 grandchildren and 60 plus great-grandchildren; brother-in-law David (Elizabeth) Taylor, Salt Lake City, UT; and brother Frederick Wilmer Carter. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas James Taylor; sons: Steven Taylor, Tom Taylor and Jon Taylor; one sister and one brothers. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 12 Noon at the Brigham City Cemetery, 325 S. 300 E., Brigham.
