OGDEN - Loren Kay Day, 65, of Ogden died August 1, 2009 at McKay Dee Hospital from pneumonia. He was born February, 24, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to Charles Carlton and Mildred Dorothea Morehouse Day. He married Patricia Krall on March 24, 1974; they later divorced but remained friends over the years.

Kay enjoyed camping, fishing, trains, all sports including NASCAR, and "he loved old cars". He was a big Broncos and Jazz fan. His greatest love was his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Kevin Kay Day, Michelle Day, Laurie Love and Jodi (Stacy) Poll, all of Ogden; his ex-wife Patricia Day; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Winifred (John) Simpson, Janna Lee (Albert) Kraft and brother Charles (Donna) Day; several nieces and nephews and life long friends the Sosa Family.

Preceded in death by his parents; grandparents and brother Buzzy.

The family would like his friends to bring their "Classic Cars" to the funeral to drive in the procession to the cemetery.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 5th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park where Military Honors will be accorded.

A special thanks to Aspen Care Center and their staff, also the staff at McKay Dee Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of Loren Kay Day to Myers Mortuary of Ogden.
