Larry Arnold Wade, 61, passed away on September 18, 2018. He fought a valiant six-year battle against cancer. Larry decided he was tired and it was now time to look-out for his family from above. He was born on July 24, 1957 to Rollin Larry Wade and Eleanor S. Rivera. He was raised by his mom and step-dad, Robert "Bob" Hendricks. Larry grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School. On September 19, 1975, he married the love of his life, Debbie Cole, who he called "Crazy Girl." They resided in Washington Terrace.

Larry worked at the Berthana when he was in his teens, where he became passionate about roller-skating. As he grew older and had children, he was always proud to volunteer at Head Start program so that he could be with his kids just a little longer. Larry enjoyed taking his family fishing and getting donuts on Sundays.

It could be said that Larry never meet a stranger or donut that he didn't like. Though he was only 61, he lived a full life. His house was always full of kids, grandkids and great-grandkids, which he enjoyed laughing, dancing, and playing with them all. He especially loved to listen to oldies, grooming his awesome 'stache, he always kept a paint-gun close because of his son Riley and he always had nicknames for family and friends. His passions were restoring "Chandra", his 1939 Ford Truck, teaching his children how to roof and work on cars and playing with his dog Chico. He worked at Redd's Roofing for numerous years, but he truly was a jack of all trades. He would drop anything to go help people.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his mother, Eleanor Hendricks; his children: Tangie (Cedric) Williams, Cody (Amber) Gross, Shanna (Dean - "PW3") Austin, Riley (Jessica) Wade, Reanna (JC - "PW2") Miller and God-Daughter - Anjelina (Nate) Smith; 24 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also, his siblings Anna Angel, Boyd Hendricks, and Leon Hendricks; his sister and brother in-law: Shelly (Trapper) Gorder and brother and sister in-law Steven (Ranae) Cole; his special pet Chico aka "Chico and the Man"; loving aunts and uncles: Louise and Max McDonald, Betty and Mike Delgado, Jake and Silvia Garcia, Geno and Martha Rivera, Debra Rivera, Sonny Rivera; and his godparents, Lillian and Phil Medina. He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Wade and stepfather, Bob Hendricks; in-laws, Alvin and Darlene Cole; grandparents, Fred and Emma Rivera; his brothers, Richard Hendricks, Lyle Hendricks (who called Larry "Z"), his sister Roberta Hendricks; and his special Aunt Aggie and Uncle Junior.

One of his last wishes was to see his mother before he passed, even though the family was told he wouldn't last until she arrived from Oregon, he did and opened his eyes and spent 40 minutes with her.

The family would like to thank Dr. Hansen, Dr. Varella and their staff for the love and care for Larry the past 6 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 25th from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Interment, Washington Heights Memorial Park.
