Kenneth Wiser

PLEASANT VIEW - Our loving father and grandfather, Lorin Kenneth Wiser, 84, of Pleasant View, was reunited with his eternal companion on March 9, 2010. He was born December 28, 1925 in North Logan, Utah to Lorin and Eliza Wiser. Kenneth attended North Cache High School and graduated from Utah State University.

Kenneth served in the 387th Infantry in the Army in WWII. He married Arlene Hansen on Sept 8, 1952 in the Logan LDS Temple. She preceded him in death May 19, 2009.

Kenneth was a life time scout leader. He loved serving young men. He was honored to receive the Silver Beaver Award for his dedicated service. As a young man he served a mission to the Western States mission and served for many years as a ward finance clerk. He was a High Priest in the Pleasant View 9th ward.

He loved teaching school at Plain City Elementary where he taught third and fourth grades until he retired.

Kenneth loved the outdoors! He loved to go camping, hunting and fishing. His family was always his first priority and he especially adored his grandchildren. He was a loving care giver of his wife for many years.

Kenneth is survived by two daughters, Marianne (Kent) Parker of Pleasant View and Janice (Kevin) Toyn of Brigham City; and two sons, Randy (Becky) Wiser of Kaysville and Kraig (Wendy) Wiser of Plain City; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Ken.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Pleasant View 9th Ward, 250 W. Elberta Drive. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., on Friday, March 12, 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
