Lou Jean Wilson, 88, died on January 4, 2018 at her home in Eden. She was born February 2, 1929 in Ogden to Archibald Olaf and Adena Leona Stoker Hokanson. She graduated from Ogden High and attended Weber Academy.

Lou Jean married John Junior Wilson on Sept. 29, 1948 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in various callings in the ward and stake. Lou Jean and John served an LDS Mission in the Harrisburg PA area. She was a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Mom enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading, bread making and taking walks.

Lou Jean is survived by her children Douglas (Colleen) Wilson, Peggy (Rodney) Morris, Shelly W. (George) Prothero, Jolene (Kenny) Kawa and Mark (Destonee) Wilson; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and her sister Beth Kendell and brother Russel Hokanson. She was preceded in death by her husband John, in 2005; son Jeffrey D Wilson, grandsons Ethan Wilson and Brady John Wilson.

The family would like to thank AFI Hospice and Visiting Angels for their loving care of Lou Jean.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2017 at the Huntsville Stake Center, 6500 E. 1900 N., Eden. A viewing will be held prior to services at the church from 9 to 10:45 am. Interment at the Mtn. View Cemetery, 5555 E. 2700 N., Eden.
