Lucile Sainsbury Cottle Rice SALT LAKE CITY - Lucile Sainsbury Cottle Rice, 96, passed away August 10, 2004. She was born Feb 22, 1908 in Fielding, UT, a daughter of Robert Ephraim and Eliza Heward Sainsbury. She married Samuel Arthur Cottle July 28, 1926. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on October 16, 1961. He died Jan 28, 1968. On April 23, 1983 she married Loye Rice in the Jordan River Temple. He died Jan 30, 1985. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her entire life. She served as a temple worker for 10 years in the Ogden Temple. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was formerly employed at Utah Tailoring Mills and Defense Depot Ogden. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was preceded in death by a son, Veran A. Cottle. Surviving are two sons, Darrell (Sharon) Cottle of Tempe, AZ; Robert Bruce (Kandi) Cottle of Taylorsville, UT; daughter-in-law Carol Cottle of Salt Lake City; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
