Violet Lucille Bluemel Jones Bonham Obituary (1927 - 2017)

VIOLET LUCILLE BLUEMEL JONES - BONHAM MAY 4, 1927 TO DECEMBER 8, 2017 Lucille was born in Evanston, Wyoming. She was the first daughter of Harold and Violet Bluemel. She married Jack Wilson Jones on 10 July 1945 in Lyman, Wyoming, and they were happily married until his passing in 1991. She later married Del Bonham and they were happily married until his passing in 2005. Lucille's greatest pleasure in life was her family. Regular, yearly camping and deer hunting trips and large get-togethers with the family at the holidays were some of her most cherished moments. She also was an incredible cook, and was world-famous (almost) for her incredibly, yummy mouth-watering chocolate chip cookies and sweets that everyone looked forward to. She worked most of her career at Sierra Lingerie and as a School Cook until her retirement. She had many family nicknames, and answered to "mom," "sis," "grandma," and "ma-maw." Fortunately, a majority of her large family was able to be with her, as she spent her last few days with them, before passing at home where she lived with her daughter Rogena, grandson Shawn and great-grand daughter Nichele. Lucille is survived by four loving children: Rebecca Wilson, Rogena Brown, Doreen & Gary Matthews, Dennis & Kathy Jones; 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Florin & Beverly Bluemel, Bobby Bluemel, Lorna & Daryl Loftus and Shannon Bluemel. She was preceded by her parents, Harold & Violet Bluemel; husbands, Jack Jones and Del Bonham and brother Harold Bluemel. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W, Roy, Utah with a viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at 12:00 at the same location. Interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
