Lucille Rose Chambers
Surrounded by her loving family, Lucille Rose Chambers passed away Thursday August 6th 2009 after a long and valiant fight with Alzheimer's. Lucille was born August 16th 1927 to LaMont and Rose Keller in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Weber High School also in Ogden, Utah. Lucille married her beloved husband David on March 16th 1945. They were married 62 years.
Lucille was a terrific cook she also enjoyed canning and baking. She canned the best pickles and there was always a great meal to be had at Lucille's house. She loved to sew any and everything from clothes to dolls to horse blankets. She worked side by side with David in their home based upholstery shop for many years. Lucille loved to spend time out doors camping, fishing and being with her family and friends. She loved to laugh and to have a good time it didn't matter if it was in the mountains, at the bowling alley or just sitting around the kitchen table.
Lucille had a never ending supply of unconditional love; she was always there for her family, and she had special place in heart for all of her grandkids. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her strength and guidance will truly be missed.
The family would like to thank Comfort Hospice care and the staff at Chancellor Gardens for their devoted care to Lucille.
She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, her brother Raymond Keller, her son Steven Roy Chambers and her husband David Royce Chambers.
She is survived by 4 children Judy (Dewey) Heninger of South Ogden, Utah, Gloria Hamblin of Layton Utah, Gary Chambers of Hooper, Utah and Garth (Debra) Chambers of Fremont California, her brother Leonard Keller and Sister Donna Orozco; 14 grand children, 23 great grand children, and one great great grandchild.
