LUZ PINEDA DE RANGEL

SUNSET - Luz Pineda De Rangel, 92, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was born January 31, 1917 in Huaniqueo de Morales, Michoacan, Mexico, a daughter of Francisco Pineda and Rosa Dominguez.

She married Tranquilino Rangel in 1940. He passed away January 29, 1990. She lived in Huaniqueo de Morales, Michoacan Mexico for 81 years, and in Ogden, Utah for 11 years. She was a member of the Catholic faith and attended Catholic Church.

Luz enjoyed helping others as much as possible. She also wanted the best for all of her family, from her own children, to grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to cook, knit and do gardening. Praying the rosary everyday, made her day. She was the greatest mother, wife, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend.

Special thanks to Intermountain Healthcare Home Hospice, Drs. Kurt Rifleman and John Wood, and her son Luis Pineda and daughter, Luz Maria Coria.

Luz is survived by her two children Luis R (Sandra) Pineda, and Maria Luz Coria, 17 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, oldest son Filiberto Rangel, and youngest son Miguel Rangel.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church , 24th Street Adams Avenue, Ogden, Utah. Family and friends may call Tuesday, August 11, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah.

Interment Roy City Cemetery.

Rosario: Martes 11 de Agosto, 2009 de 6:00 -8:00 p.m. en Myers Roy Mortuary 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah.

Misa: Miercoles 12 de Agosto, 2009 en San Jose Ogden, Utah.

Entierro: Seguido de la misa en el cementerio de Roy.
