Lynn Goodell Gilbert

OGDEN - Lynn Goodell Gilbert, 67 years old, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2005 from injuries caused in an auto/pedestrian accident.

He was born July 11, 1938 in Ogden, Utah to Lorenzo William Gilbert and Bertha Fannie Goodell. He married LaVon Claire Bonnett Gilbert December 2, 1960; she passed away May 8, 2004. He then married Carolyn Sue Hall Gilbert February 13, 2005. He was retired from the railroad and was currently a school crossing guard.

Lynn was very active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) of Ogden, Utah. He held many positions and was State President at the time of his death. He also was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) Lynn enjoyed his jobs, his grandchildren, his many friends, and life in general.

He is survived by his wife Sue; his mother Bertha; and ten children, Kris (Craig) Burlison, Jodene Bonnett, Bradley Bonnett, Steven (Robin) Gilbert, Lynnett (Bob) Barnum; Jodie Bliss, Becky (Michael) Montgomery, Richard (Pam) Fisher, Lindy (Tina) Fisher, Johnathon (Dede) Fisher); 20 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving are two brothers Richard (Kathleen) Gilbert, Clyde (Carolyn) Gilbert; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandmother, and first wife.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., where family will greet friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
