Lynne Pexton

On Monday, July 17, 2023, Lynne Mills Pexton passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and loved ones.
She was born on February 20, 1936, in Ogden Utah to Henry Herbert Mills and Avon Wilkinson Mills. She was preceded in death by her older sister, Joan Mills Davis, her first husband, Edward Ralph Pasquale and her second husband, Ronald Dale Pexton. Her younger brother, H. Michael Mills (favorite brother), was at her side alongside Lynne's children. Lynne had five children: Joni Ann Pasquale (Jim Ashworth), Jo Ann Pasquale Espinoza, Michele Jennine Pasquale (Scott Kester); Jennifer Lynne Pasquale (Jim Crane) and Edward Anthony Pasquale (Missie Pasquale).
Over the course of her life, Lynne was known by many names: Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, Friend but her favorite was Grandma (affectionately called Tall Grandma by many). As the count currently stands, Lynne had 28 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Lynne was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held some form of presidency (Relief Society, Primary or Young Women) for over 20 years in a row. She and her husband Ron served a mission in Japan and later as a tour guide for the church's conference center. She also often served in the Ogden Temple.
Lynne was a passionate seamstress, baker, and musician. She was lovingly known for her handmade quilts, her homemade rolls and her "scotchies." She shared her love openly and never missed sending a birthday card. There was never a doubt how much pride she held in her family. Lynne was a person full of compassion, tenderness, and forgiveness. She saw the light in all she surrounded herself with.
Of the many things we will remember Lynne for, most of all will be the love she shared in all the small and big ways. We will remember her singing to her favorite song, dancing in the kitchen or the feel of her hugs when we wrap up in one of her quilts. As her family we will always be grateful for the love she shared for so many years.
There will be a viewing Friday, July 21st at Myers Mortuary located at 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden UT from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 22nd at Shadow Valley Ward building at 5191 Old Post Road. Ogden, UT with a viewing from 10:00 - 11:00 AM; the funeral will follow from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Lynne will be interred at the Salt Lake City Cemetery on Wednesday, July 26. 2023 at 11:00 AM
