Mable Nagata Sato Obituary (1925 - 2017)

Mable Nagata Sato 92 passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 in South Jordan, Utah. Mable was born on June 10, 1925 in Tremonton, Utah a daughter of Fusataro "Frank" Nagata and Tome Nagata Taura, Jutaro Taura. She attended and graduated from Box Elder High School. Mable married her sweetheart Kusuo "Kuch" Sato on January 27, 1947, he died on July 22, 2014. She is a member of the Honeyville Buddhist Church. Mable worked on the farm, Brigham Apparel and retired from Baron Woolen Mills. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking. Mom was known for her wonderful smile, she was always positive and sweet and was very witty. Mom always made sure you were well fed whether you were hungry or not. She loved spending time with family especially the little ones. Surviving are her daughters: Cheryl (Dana) Morvillo, Harrisville, UT; Nanci (Robert Baldwin) Wirth, Wendover, NV; Vickie (Lou) Romero, Brigham City, UT; Jolene (Dave Douglass) Jensen, Midvale, UT; Wendy (Jeff) Cox, So. Jordan, UT; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Also, brother Roy Nagata, Monterey Park, CA. Preceded in death by her husband Kuch; sisters: Sia Sakato, Mary Nisogi and brothers: Sam Nagata, George Nagata, Shig Nagata, Yosh Taura and Akio Taura. Special thanks to Sagewood of Daybreak and the staff for all the kindness they showed our mother. And to all the family and friends who visited her. Also thanks to the EMT's and Employees at the U of U at Daybreak Health Care. Funeral services will be Friday, October 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S.100 E., Brigham City, UT. Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery. Seven Day Service will follow after graveside services at the Mortuary.
