Magnus J. Ahlstromer Iii Obituary (1956 - 2004)

Magnus John "Jay" Ahlstromer III OGDEN - Magnus John "Jay" Ahlstromer III, 47, died Wednesday, August 18, 2004 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born September 25, 1956 in Elmhurst, Illinois to Magnus John Ahlstromer Jr. and Ruth Kitley. He married Yolanda Stanford, they later divorced. He married Nancey Sanderson on February 25, 1995 in Ogden. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1974 until his retirement in 2000. Jay was employed as Assistant Education Director at Certified Careers Institute. Jay was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He was also a member of World Tang Soo Do Karate Association and owned his own studio. He loved motorcycling, snow skiing and kayaking. He enjoyed rock and roll music and woodworking. Surviving are his wife Nancey; son Magnus J. (Jayson) Ahlstromer IV of Tempe, AZ; daughter TeriAnn L. Spence of Ogden. Also surviving are three sisters, Christine (Michael) Boyle, Redding, CA; Cindy (David) Jones, Germany; Candice Ahlstromer, Redding, CA; and a close cousin, Gary (Janet) Fahrenbach, Algonquin, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to America First Credit Union, North Ogden Branch. Proceeds will be divided between the World Tang Soo Do Association Building Fund and the Ascension Lutheran Church building fund.
