ROY -- On December 9, 2006 Mar Jean King danced back into the arms of her eternal companion Keith in the presence of their Heavenly Father.

Born into this world on April 12, 1929 as Mar Jean Devora Keyes; one of six children to Percy Lee and Ruth Keyes, she arrived an identical twin to her sister Maureen.

Mar Jean was raised in post-depression Uinta during World War II near the mouth of Weber Canyon and is a graduating member of the Ogden High School class of 1947. She grew up dancing to the sounds of the Big Band Era which led to meeting her soul mate Keith.

In 1949 she married Jay Keith King in Ogden and together they raised four children. They became sealed as a family in 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. During her lifetime she enjoyed being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in varying capacities. She taught others her love of song and dance through her involvement with many of the Regional Dance Festivals.

Following school she found work repairing aircraft at what is now Hill Air Force Base and eventually retired in 1991. At "The Hill" she did work she loved which was repairing aircraft RADAR systems and later taught others on doing the same.

Mar Jean had a great love for travel and saw much of the world as to her there is much beauty in it to be appreciated.

She is preceded in death by her Mother in 1955, her Father in 1962, her husband Keith in 1996 and her sisters Maureen and Gwen.

She is survived by her children Debbie L. Kilbourn (Mike), Craig C. King (Sheryl), Sandra J. Williams (Gary), Mark L. King (Debbie) and foster son Galen Nixon (Anice). Also surviving are eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Roy 1st Ward, 5850 S. 2575 W. Family and friends may call on Wednesday at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 S. 1900 W. from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
