OGDEN - Margaret Miller Conolly, 76, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at McKay Dee Hospital. Our sweet mother was born August 24, 1939 in Ogden, UT, the daughter of Dr. William P. and Mary Wilcox Miller, the fourth of five daughters (The Beautiful Miller Girls).

She married Richard R. Conolly on February 5, 1960 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
They were married 41years. She was active in the LDS church and served as a Ward and Stake Relief Society President. She enjoyed serving the Young Women at girl's camp, and taught Primary for many years.

Margaret served a mission at Temple Square for several years loving every minute of it.

Margaret graduated from Ogden High School and Weber State Junior College in 1959. She later returned to finish her degree in Elementary Education. For 26 years she taught 6th grade at Valley View and Kanesville Elementary. She was a very loving teacher who always had a keen sense for those who might be struggling not only in class but also in life. She was willing to go the extra mile for them. Along with being a great classroom educator she was a great teacher of life lessons. She received the Teacher Feature Award in 1999.

Margaret was very generous, giving of her time and resources whenever she saw the need. Margaret's favorite thing to do was spend time with family and loved family traditions.

Her inquisitive mind generated a great desire to travel. She and Richard were fortunate enough to visit many countries and explore their cultures including a yearly trip with her mother and sisters.

She was a volunteer at McKay Dee, a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers and an avid supporter of Weber State University.

She leaves behind her four children Karin (Fred) Ulrich, Debbie [Pat) Fitzgerald, Michael (Katy) Conolly, and Kristen (Rowden) Samuels, 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and her four sisters and their spouses.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard R. Conolly, brothers-in-law Jack Conolly and Lorin Farr.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 31st 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Valley 7th Ward 5735 Crestwood Dr., South Ogden. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley 7th Ward and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.

Arrangements under the direction of Myers Roy Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Weber State University Alumni Association 123S Village Dr. Dept. 3701 Ogden, UT 84408-3701.
