She lived in Sommerfield Manor in Orem, UT from 2007 until March 11, 2010 when she peacefully passed away.
Born April 17, 1921 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Orson C Childs and Margaret Bradshaw.
She was the youngest of eight children. She attended school in Soda Springs, ID.
She married Clyde Lorran Jenkins January 27, 1940. He passed away March 10, 1960.
She worked at IRS for eight years and Defense Depot of Ogden for 14 years. Margaret was an Ogden resident of over 40 years. She raised her family and lived in Ogden during the majority of her life.
She married Wayne J Nielsen November 25, 1970. He passed away April 25, 2004.
Survived by children, Margaret Marie Dennis (Floyd) London, AR; Bonnie Rice (George) Monticello. UT; JoAnn Irvin (King) Roanoke, VA; two step daughters, Jennie Steele (John) Tooele, UT and Debbie Brown, Farmington, UT. 16 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Jenkins and Wayne Nielsen; her parents; five brothers, Leonard, Harley, Jay, Don, Bob Childs and two sisters, Naomi Warren and Duluth Evans. Three grandsons, Wayne and John Steele, and Spencer Lynn Rice.
Margaret loved to crochet, and play cards with her friends. She and her husband enjoyed camping and traveling to various parts of the country and picking huckleberries in Idaho. She was a good homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, UT. Friends and family may gather from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at Newton Cemetery, UT.
