Marguerite Van Drimmelen Obituary (1907 - 2007)

Marguerite (Midge) Richardson Van Drimmelen OGDEN - Marguerite (Midge) Richardson Van Drimmelen, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother left this world to join her beloved husband on Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Washington Terrace Convalescent Home, of Alzheimer's. Marguerite was born March 28, 1907, in Plain City, Utah to Ebenezer and Martha Taylor Richardson. She married Adrian Joseph Van Drimmelen on February 17, 1925 in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 14, 1927. Midge was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served as the President of the Young Women's program, in the Relief Society presidency and as a visiting teacher for many years. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was an active member of the Lady of Lions organization, the Ladies of Elks, and the BPOE Does. She will always be remembered as a caring and loving mother, excellent homemaker, wonderful cook, who always welcomed friends and family to her home to enjoy her delicious cuisine. She is survived by her son, Keith R. Van Drimmelen (Delma); daughter, Carol J. Williams (Morgan; and daughter-in-law, Patricia; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son Joseph J. Van Drimmelen; mother; father; five sisters; and four brothers. We wish to express our thanks for the loving care she received from the staff at the Washington Terrace Convalescent Home.
