She was blessed with many cousins whom she called siblings: Jack (Cleo) Bankhead, Harold (Doris) Bankhead, Norma (Allan) Bankhead Christenson Bickmore, Donna (Tom) Bankhead Hannon all of which are deceased and Peggy Jo (Fred) Shaw Welker Harris of Perry. Her father subsequently married Bertha Jensen and she had two step brothers who always treated her like a princess; Harvey (Bobbie) Jensen of Cedar City, and Bill (Maria) Jensen of Burley, Idaho.
She was raised and educated in Paradise, Utah and is a graduate of South Cache High School.
In 1955, she was sealed in the Logan Temple to the love of her life, Lee Jay Chlarson. They had 60 wonderful years together with more to come. She loved being a grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 16 great children with three more to come.
She worked at Intermountain Indian School and Thiokol.
She had a great love of music and played the saxophone in High School, was a ward organist for years and accompanied many on the piano. In her busy life, she enjoyed making ceramics, baby blankets and quilts for others. She loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ as well as her Heavenly Father. She served diligently in various callings, Ward Relief Society and Primary President as well as various stake callings. She served a LDS mission with her husband to Omaha Nebraska.
