Marie Smith Lloyd Obituary (1921 - 2010)

Marie Smith Lloyd Marie Smith Lloyd passed away peacefully in the arms of her family, December 28, 2010. She was born in Sugar City, Idaho, March 12, 1921, to David Samuel Smith and Pauline Harris. She was married to Phillip Carl Lloyd in Los Angeles, California on November 10, 1941. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on August 3, 1962. She is survived by five daughters, Joanne Marie (Vyron) Dowdle of Ogden, Utah, Katherine Lloyd, Ogden, Utah, Patricia Ann (Jeff) Hansen of Clinton, Utah, Terri Carla (Randy) Douglass of Preston, Idaho and Rebecca (Don) Stevens, of Las Vegas, Nevada, 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Polly Stirland of Hurricane, Utah. She was preceded in death, by her husband, who passed away February 4, 1983, one son, Jerry Lloyd, her parents, and eight brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Farr West 4th Ward, 2132 W 2700 N, Farr West, Utah. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah, on Monday 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00-10:45 prior to the service.
