PERRY - Marilyn R. Wright, 80 passed away Monday, June 1, 2015, in Brigham City, UT, surrounded by her loving children.
Marilyn was born January 28, 1935 in Brigham City, UT the daughter of Lawrence and Allie Craner Roche.
Marilyn was raised in Corrine, UT, and graduated from Box Elder High School. Marilyn married Jim Wright on
February 19, 1951, in Pocatello, ID, later being sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on January 21, 1964.
They were married for 56 years when Jim passed away in February 2007.
Marilyn was an active member of the LDS Church where she held various positions. Marilyn worked and
retired from Maddox Drive In, located in Perry, UT, to join her husband driving semi trucks for Miller
Brothers of Hyrum, UT. Marilyn and Jim lived in various places including: Colorado, Louisiana and Utah
and then finally settling in Perry to raise their family. In their golden years Marilyn and Jim traveled with
their friends to Yuma, AZ, to spend the winter months.
Marilyn is survived by seven children: Gayleen (Mike) Henderson, Corrine, UT; Shirley (Rudy) Harding,
Perry, UT; Jackie (Mike) Braegger, Willard, UT; Kenny (Lori) Wright, Rockledge, FL; Cindy (Harvey) Smith,
Brigham City, UT; Hoke (Lori) Wright, Logan, UT; Mike Wright, Perry, UT. Marilyn has 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. All of Marilyn's grandchildren lovingly referred to her as Grandma Grape. Marilyn is also survived by two brothers Larry Roche, Deer Park, WA; Richard (Marilyn) Roche, Tremonton, UT; and a sister Aileen (Dennis) Crocker, Mantua, UT.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Allie Roche, husband Jim Wright, brother Cyril Roche, grandson Jared Henderson, great-grandson Quaye Jensen and son in-law Mike Nielson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Three Mile Creek LDS Building
1308 W. 2950 S., Perry UT. Viewing to be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the services from 1:00 to 1:40 p.m. at the Church.
Interment will be in the Willard Cemetery.
