BRIGHAM - Marlene Arnold Roybal passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014, surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness. She was born October 27, 1932 in Gusher (formerly Wilson), Utah, a daughter of William and Delphia Arnold. She married Joseph C. Roybal on January 13, 1951 in Elko, NV. Their loving union of 63 years together blessed them with six children, Ron (Beverly) Roybal, Linda (Pat) Willick, Sandy (Greg) Hansen, Joleen (Perry) Russell, Earnie (Bea) Roybal, Kathy (Pete) Hackford. Mom had many hobbies that included sewing, embroidery, quilting, camping and fishing. She also possessed the wonderful talent of writing poetry and stories, and loved to draw. Her favorite pastime was playing Scrabble where she was indeed the champion player in our family. She had a great love for genealogy and spent many years researching her family history. She was preceded in death by her parents, three great- grandchildren, and a sister. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, six children, twenty four grandchildren, and 39 great-grandchildren, as well as three sisters and three brothers. A special thanks to the staff at Pioneer Care Center and Integrity Hospice Care who both showed compassionate care to our sweet mother. There will be no formal funeral service.
