Martha Lou (Dudie) Muchmore Obituary (1924 - 2011)

OGDEN - Martha Lou "Dudie" Muchmore, 86. Our loving Mother, Sister, Aunt and Grandmother passed away July 11, 2011 peacefully in her home due to a long illness. She was born July 25, 1924 in Helena, Montana. She was the daughter of Ruth and Walter Moore. In 1943 she married the love of her life Stephen B. Muchmore in Reno, NV. Martha was born and raised in Montana, later settling in Ogden, Utah. She raised a family and retired as a Suspense Clerk from the IRS. She was the Sergeant at Arms for the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Martha participated in the Ladies of the Shrine, Eagles and the Elks Clubs. She was also the Den Mother for many wonderful Scouts. Martha accepted Jesus into her heart and worshiped Him at the Community of Christ Church by her house where she had many wonderful friends and neighbors she cherished. She loved her family, camping in the mountains and at their cabin in Montana, spending time at Snowbird and Bear Lake, gardening, crafts, taking care of her cats, taking pictures and getting all dressed up to go square dancing. Martha is survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter - Kim (Terri), Les (Sally), April (Don) Just-Warren; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 sister - Wanna (Fred) Hyden and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband - Stephen; daughter - Vickie Montalvo; parents Ruth and Walter Moore; as well as 1 sister and 2 brothers. The Family would like to give a special thanks to all those who cared for Martha, including her daughter, April Just-Warren and son-in-law, Don Warren. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
