Martin "Marty" Welsh

ROY - Martin "Marty" Murray Welsh, 28, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2003 of a sudden heart attack during a scuba diving lesson.

He was born September 14, 1974 in Ogden to William "Bill" Anthony and Patricia Dixon Welsh. He married Sonya Smith and they were later separated.

Marty was a good-hearted person. He will be deeply missed. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, backpacking and motorcycle riding. We will miss his laughter and his bear hugs.

Surviving are his sweetheart, Heidi Denson of Roy; a baby daughter, Elizabeth Azurite Welsh; his parents, Bill and Patricia Welsh of Washington Terrace; grandparents, Alice Welsh, Ogden; Ralph and Myrtle Dixon, Ogden; two sisters, Melissa Alexander and Sheryl Welsh, both of Ogden; his beloved nieces and nephews, Amanda, Megan, Jaden, Bailey; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for Marty's daughter, Elizabeth Welsh, at any America First Credit Union.
