Mary Sue Brunty

Perry - Mary Sue Brunty passed away October 1, 2011. She was born September 9, 1932 in Liberal Kansas, the daughter of Tex Chastain and Leona Tillman. She married Bob Brunty in 1953. They raised their sons, Kim and Troy, in Concord California.

Her life revolved around her sons and their sports. She never missed a game and was always quick to volunteer her help scoring, keeping stats or just cheering for her boys. She was a life-long San Fransisco Giants and 49er's fan.

Sue was a devoted mother and supportive wife while Bob traveled on assignment with the US Navy to various countries around the world. Once her boys were older she loved traveling with Bob to these far-away locations and seeing the world.

Sue is survived by her husband Bob; sons Kim, Bellevue, Wa., and Troy, Perry, Ut.; her sisters Linda Schwass, Anchorage, Ak. and Sandra Springston, Elverta, Ca.; her brother Dean Springston, Ceres, Ca.; her beloved grandchildren Owen, Michael, Joe, Jill, Ben and Emi; and by Jean and Patti whom she loved as her very own daughters.

With adversity comes the test of love and friendship. With that said, special thanks go out from all the family to Bob and Pauline Bambrick for their constant friendship, to Dr. John Markeson and Nurse Carrie at the Brigham Medical Clinic for their loving care, and particularly to Marlene Martin whose Christ-like love and service were so important at the end.

Viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E. Brigham City.

Sue's funeral mass will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic church in Brigham City. Her burial will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
