Mary Maxine Martin

ROY - Mary Maxine Martin, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006.

She was born July 17, 1920 in Jackson, Wyoming, the daughter of Forest Byron Gamett and Mary Elizabeth Roberts. She married Samuel Clark Martin on February 23, 1937 in Arco, Idaho; they were later sealed in the Ogden Temple.

Maxine lived to watch over and take care of her children and was a caregiver for all who were in need. She lived her life in Evanston, Wyoming and Roy, Utah. Maxine worked for the Wyoming State Hospital and volunteered at the Ogden Regional Hospital for many years. She belonged to the Ladies of the Firemen in Evanston, Wyoming, the Ladies of the Railroad in Ogden, Utah and the Old-timers Club #6. She loved to crochet and sew. Maxine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held various positions.

Maxine is survived by her children, Sandra (Bob) Ottley; Pat (Kaye) Wilson; and Colleen (Kay) Fackrell, all of Evanston, WY; Dawna (K) Fowkes, Las Vegas, NV and Lori (Ralph) Frederiksen, Riverdale, Utah; her sister, Carole Olsen, Clear Lake, IA; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandchild, Ryan Fackrell.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Evanston City Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, June 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Roy, 5865 South 1900 West. Interment, Evanston City Cemetery.
