OGDEN - On Easter Sunday April 15, 2001, God came and put his arms around her and whispered "come home and rest". There will be no more pain and suffering. What a beautiful day to leave this earth. Easter Sunday was always such a special day for her to spend with all her family.
She was born July 13, 1922 to Joseph H. Hobbs and Opal Leona Welch in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. Mom moved to Ogden, Utah in 1942. She met and married Harry Kranendonk. They were later divorced. In 1954 she married George T. Bishop. They were later divorced. In August 1957 she married William P. Wilson. He died May 1967.
Mom worked at H.A.F.B. as a mechanic, at Dee Hospital and St. Benedicts Hospital as a nurses aide, and had also done house cleaning and ironing.
Mom enjoyed playing games with the family and going to bingo. Sunday dinners and picnics with her family were always so special to her. She enjoyed the grandkids and great grandkids so much. They each were so special to her. She also enjoyed the visits from Cuddles and Buddy. She will always remain in our thoughts "forever in our hearts".
She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, two sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are three daughters: Jody (Terry) Montgomery, Ogden; Donna (Dan) Salinas, Ogden; Aileen Bishop and long time friend Mike Fotheringham, Ogden; six grandchildren and spouses: Brenda and Dennis, Brent and Sharla, Bruce and Janet, Sabrina and Howard, Billy Leroy, and Delores and William; 14 great-grandchildren; 11 step great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nola Blackburn, Watterloo, Iowa.
A special thanks to all past and present workers at Mt. Ogden Rehab Center. The nurses, aides, therapy and office worker became family to her. Thanks for all the love and kindness to her and to us as a family. Mom loved the visits from the housekeepers and laundry and kitchen workers that became close friends. You will remain very dear in our hearts. Thank you!
