OGDEN - Matthew John Perkins, 50, died August 29, 2009 in Ogden of natural causes.
He was born March 13, 1959 in Rapid City, SD the son of Hardy S. and Connie Rae Bradshaw Perkins. He grew up in Roy and graduated from Roy High School.

He married Chantal Gerfen in 1977; later divorced. He married Patricia Shepard on July 31, 2006.

Matt enjoyed leather carving, fishing and reading. He was a Christian.

He is survived by his wife Patricia; parents Hardy and Connie; daughters, Erin Perkins, Amber Perkins both of Ohio, Jerica Glover, Misty Roberts and Falisha Peterson all of Utah; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings Joni Perkins (Rex), Michael Perkins (Teresa) and Louisa Lewis (Edward). He was preceded in death by one nephew. He was the best husband, dad, son and brother you could have.

Friends may gather for a celebration of Matt's life at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the Eagles Lodge, 975 Wall Ave., Ogden.

Special thanks to all his best friends and loved ones; especially Char, Mike and Kim.

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up to help with expenses at any Golden West C.U.
