Maureen Milligan Hardie

Maureen Milligan Hardie, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father suddenly on Monday, November 15, 2004 due to natural causes. Maureen was born April 3, 1950 in Buffalo, New York, the first daughter of Leo and Victoria "Jan" Milligan. After high school graduation in 1968, she became a licensed practical nurse. Later Maureen graduated with a dual bachelor's degree in social work and sociology at Weber State University. She spent much of her career treating and caring for infants in critical condition, a job she loved very much.

She was married in 1972 in Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple and had six children who love her dearly.

Maureen was dealt many challenging hands throughout her life but remained cheerful, optimistic and determined in the face of adversity. She will be remembered as a loving mother who had deep compassion for others as well as a great love for her family. Maureen will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Maureen is survived by her six children, Jessica, Wade, Jeremy, Holly, Rachel and Rebecca (currently in the MTC, called to the Tucson, Arizona LDS Mission); five grandchildren, Hunter, Cooper, Jackson, Joshua and Morgan; her parents Leo and Jan Milligan; five siblings, Michael, Colleen, Mark, Patrick and Lee; and many other extended family members.
