Mayme Brew Mildon returned home to her Father in Heaven on April 4, 2012. She was born May 2, 1927, in Shelly, ID to Daniel G. and Lila E. Brew. Mayme spent her childhood in Delle, UT graduating from Grantsville High School. As a young woman she enjoyed playing sports, she was a very talented tennis player. She also enjoyed playing the violin and driving fast cars.

She married her sweetheart, Dale Mildon, on March 21, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple; they just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Their marriage was a perfect example of love, mutual respect, and self-sacrifice. They made their home and raised their family in Washington Terrace.

She left her posterity a legacy of love, hard work and selfless service. As a member of the LDS Church, Mayme devoted much of her time and talents serving in the church. She taught Mutual, Sunday school, and served in the Relief Society both as a counselor and president in the ward and Stake. She was always engaged in projects that would benefit others.

Through her service opportunities, she found and developed new talents and skills.
She loved to quilt, cook, paint ceramics and embroider. She mastered cake decorating, as well as making hand-dipped chocolates. Many hours were spent and many hearts were touched by the fruits of her labors.

Later she was called to work in the Ogden Temple as a supervisor. This experience was one of her greatest blessings and she talked about it often. She met many wonderful people and fostered lasting relationships. She especially loved the opportunity to accompany her granddaughters on their first visit to the temple.

Whether she adorned the title teacher, counselor, president, or supervisor; Mayme most valued her titles of Mother, Grandmother, and Wife. She took great pride in her family and loved them with her whole heart and soul.

Mayme is preceded in death by William Fletcher (son-in-law). She is survived by her husband Dale; children Joanne (Roger) Howell, Daniel (Vonalee) Mildon, and Eileen Fletcher; 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; brothers William (Alma) Brew and Robert (Blanche) Brew.

The family wishes to offer a heartfelt thank you to Applegate Home Care and Hospice for their tender and reverent care. She loved you and we love you. Thank you Dr. Qader and Dr. Michaud and your staffs for the professional care and personal touch you rendered. We give special thanks to Mandy Page, who so willingly gave of her time and her nursing skills to make her grandmother's last days comfortable and filled with love.
