Mcboyd Kelley Obituary (1922 - 2010)

McBoyd Kelley "Together Again" ROY - McBoyd Kelley, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at McKay Dee Hospital. He was born February 26, 1922 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, to Clarence Leslie and Emma Elvira Byington Kelley. He married Erma Fink February 3, 1945 in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Erma passed away May 21, 2004. He was a veteran serving in the Navy, in the South Pacific, during World War II. McBoyd served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a carpenter all his life and loved his family, especially his grandkids. He is survived by his children, Julie Kaye Dutra of Clinton; Norma Lee Peterson of Stockton, CA; Boyd Leslie (Susan) Kelley of West Point; Ronald (LaFray) Kelley of Plain City; Michael (Kathy) Kelley, Patricia Kelley both of Roy; 20 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren, surviving siblings, Francis Call, Leon (Cookie) Kelley and JoLena (Ken) Myler. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers and one sister. Special thanks to Debbie Strong for her friendship. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Lakeview Ward Chapel, 4900 South 2000 West, Roy. Family and friends may call on Monday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
