Melayne Nielson Clark, 74, a loving mother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully and returned to her Father in Heaven June 7, 2024.
Melayne was born on January 17, 1950, in Provo, Utah, to Acel and Beth Nielson. She graduated from Clearfield High School and worked at IRS for 36 years. She was a long-time resident of Roy, Utah.
On June 30, 1988, she married Jerry Freeman Clark in Ogden Utah and on November 20, 2004, they were sealed in the Ogden Temple. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a primary teacher for many years.
She loved to cook and find new recipes, and play the piano. She had a great love of music and going to concerts. You could find her often listening to her collection of music and singing along. She had a collection of sit coms that she watched over and over and loved to share with others.
Being blessed with the gift of writing, she enjoyed creative writing the most.
Vacationing, camping and being in the outdoors with her family was a favorite pass time, along with taking pictures as she explored.
For most of her life she was a single parent, and it was a goal to be the best mother she could be.
Melayne is survived by her children, son Trent Robert Mecham, daughter Melanie (Paul) Vanbuskirk, brother Kevin (Susan) Nielson, sisters Gayla (Ned) Mecham, and Luann (Jay) Welk and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her Parents and husband Jerry.
